1) I am looking for work. Where do I start?
You need to go to the following link and follow all the steps in order. Do not stop short of completing all the tasks given. Make your best effort on all your postings, because these postings reflect on you. Take it serious and get the most out of it that you can.
2) I am looking for listings of employers and potential for work. Where do I look?
There are lists and companies who post ads, but sometimes the best place to look is a company web site. We give you massive lists of employer websites...........The best thing you can do is search the lists of websites we give you, THEN post the ads to our infoshare system......This is how it works. ANYONE can find an advertisement for a job, but a person can spend hours, days, weeks, looking for the right job for their needs. Meanwhile, someone-somewhere has seen the ad for the job of your dreams. If you post ads as you find them to our infoshare system then it is likely that someone else will "share" the ad that you are looking for. This way we all find the work we want/need quickly and easily. It is like partnering together so that everyone gets what they need.
3) What is INFOSHARE?
Infoshare is a system wherein people like YOU share information with others. In exchange for the help you give others, the group will help you. IF YOU DO NOTHING, YOU GET NOTHING! However! Those who help others by posting information get the newest information. CLICK HERE!!

This system is for use by those seeking employment. "Bragsheets" is your opportunity to post a free personal advertisement advising employers what type of work you are pursuing. There are specific instructions and an example on the questionnaire.
6) How do I post a Bragsheet/personal ad?
7) I recently mailed a resume into your address. What should I do now?
First, NEVER send us your resume/CV. We do not want it. We do not insert ourselves as a middleman or agent in the hiring process. If you send us your resume, you are occupying resources in our computers best utilized for other things. We promptly delete all resumes/CV's. If we ever have a desire to receive a resume we will give explicit details to those we need them from.
8) I am an employer and I wish to post job ads? What is the cost?
Job advertisements are posted for ALL agents and employers for free via this questionnaire.
9) I have posted an advertisement (infoshare or bragsheets) to the website which I need to remove, what do I do?
Ads posted to the website are not possible to be removed. The site is a fast growing, evolutionary system. All information is quickly superceded by volume and interest. All records are maintained to establish a "history" of the site.
10) Who receives/reads BRAGSHEETS?
Employers obtain access to Bragsheets when they post job ads. Our response to them gives them links/directions to the latest bragsheets.
11) I am an employer looking for personnel. Where do I begin?
12) I am a website manager (webmaster). I am looking to establish reciprocating links with your site. What should I do?
13) I have received an e-mail (unsolicited) from www.phdpetro.com . What do I do?
Note: We do not send unsolicited e-mails! There are a number of computer viruses out there that replicate addresses from the net and or utilize addresses in a person's address book. A number of people (over 1000 per day for over 9 years!!) access our site and use various resources on the site. If THEY have a virus then their computer may send a virus replicating our address as if it came from us. NOTE: We use virus software, we have protection, however this does not prevent third parties and virus programs from sending messages that "appear" to come from our system.........Note: The vast majority of these "virus attempts" utilize addresses that have NEVER been used for outgoing mail, and DO NOT have the outgoing mail capability. This is obviously a hoax.
14) I received a file attachment from phdpetro.com. What should I do?
Note: www.phdpetro.com NEVER sends file attachments. Never open any attachment alleging to be from our system. It is a hoax, if someone sends an attachment to you stating it is from us. Again, this is likely an attempt by someone other than ourselves to hit your system with a virus.
15) At present I am not looking for work, but would like to receive the newsletter. What should I do?
Firstly, we appreciate you for visiting the site. Tell a friend or two who may be looking for work about the site. Our newsletter service has been temporarily "put on hold". For a number of reasons, it was not worthwhile to continue under our past arrangements with news suppliers. If we are approached by adequate, responsible news providers we will consider re-starting the news presentation.
16) If I tell others about www.phdpetro.com , what is in it for me?
There are a number of benefits to our readers for sharing information about our website. We operate one of the oldest websites dedicated to the industry. We have done this by helping approximately 1000 people per day. The more people we help, the more people we CAN help, because of the synergies generated by our system. If you help find people now, then the system will be better when you DO need us!! We typically send special notices to those who tell others about our service. In short, you can help us by sharing information about job listings, or you can help us by telling more people. We respond to all in kind with the effort they make. If you want major assistance, then help a LOT of people!
17) I sent in a personal request that was not responded to. What should I do?
Note: If we do not respond directly to your e-mail or reply in some form then these either means we did not receive it, which means you need to resend, OR you asked a question that is plainly referred to in the above. If we have already answered you question, we may not have the resources (time) to respond again. Please review the site closely. We are not asking you for money, or trying to pull a fast one on you, as many sites do. We simply make information available. Please read it.
18) I sent in a question or job leads and did not receive an instant reply. Why is this?
Presently we are updating systems, traveling, and working to pay for the system. Occasionally, we lose the ability to respond instantaneously to each e-mail. We will respond asap practical. Often we will try to post something to the home page if we are traveling or encountering difficulties. Please be patient with us. This is a mostly free service, run by those who actually work "real" jobs in the industry. We will help where possible, but ask for a little patience.
19) I use your INFOSHARE system which I find is AWESOME!! But on occasion I notice that proper contact information is lacking from the advertisement. What should I do?
Note: We do not type or handle any of the ad material. The system is automated. If the information is missing, it is either because the person referring the information did not input it properly, or the employer left it out by mistake. On occasions we do have contact information of the person who inputted the ads, or we can figure out what company it is. Ask, and we will help you if we can, BUT you must include the advert in PLAIN format e-mail (no attachments) and advise what page it is on. We will send the info if we have access to it.
